Vij Rajarajan is the General Manager responsible for System Center portfolio of products focused on Enterprise Management. Vij runs a team of more than 500 people, bringing in approximately $1 Billion in revenues. System Center includes products like Configuration Manager (SCCM - formerly known as SMS), Operation Manager (SCOM - formerly known as MOM), Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM), Service Manager (SCSM) and Essentials (SCE) etc.

Vij is a 16-year veteran of Microsoft. He started on a technical track and has 12 US Patents issued to him and more than 20 additional patent applications still in process. Over the years, he has had leadership roles in Windows Client, Windows Server and SQL Server businesses. He has been incubating and running management related businesses, starting with Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM), for the last five years. 

Prior to coming to Microsoft, Vij worked for Unisys Corporation on mainframe software. He received his Masters in Computer Science from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. Vij is a native of Chennai, India.
